There is a lot of good about the property and the room we stayed in. Everything is brand new, but here are some things to consider. The apartment we stayed in had two big massive windows which is awesome, but the shades are only light filtering so it's still pretty bright in the room at night. The blinds in the bedroom should have had black out blinds. So you might want to bring your own sleeping masks to help make the rooms darker. The only other downside is how loud the AC is when it turns on. The HVAC is in the in the wall between the two spaces .It is super loud in the bedrooms, like sleeping next to Niagra falls loud. It would drown out our sound machine. I wish they would have actually just insulated around the HVAC in the wall to help reduce or dampen how loud the noise is. I'm guessing if you're a heavy sleeper it won't be a problem, but I almost had a wear ear plugs to drowned out how loud the sound was. Other than that view is great. The apartment was really clean and everything was really nice, but the downside is it was really hard to sleep at night.

The rooms themselves are very cute and nicely decorated. It was overall pretty clean, just some extra bugs in the fold out couch that my daughter had to sleep on. I was disappointed that the fold out couch itself was the width of a twin bed; so my son slept on the floor. I had indicated 4 guests. There were extra sheets and blankets provided, but only for the couch. Luckily, we had our own. The air also did not keep up; luckily its Duluth so as long as we kept our windows open there was a nice breeze for sleeping at night. Just the first night when we arrived it took quite a while to cool down. There was an issue with the check-in text I was supposed to receive- it didn't load correctly or something, so I had to call anyway. Overall I love the property and the whole set up; the location is unmatched; and the free parking included is a HUGE bonus for Canal Park. They obviously had a lot of extras to give it a personal touch, which we appreciate.

It's not the HI Express. Parking was plentiful in the ramp across the street. You walk to find breakfast, but all the shops were good (except the bakery-that was excellent!!). Canel walk was close enough, but you will be tired after walking all day. The room we stayed in had character-dark walls, the walkin glass shower had stripes like a cage! We'll probably check it out the next time we visit Duluth.

tHE PLACE IS WONDERFUL, OLD SCHOOL AND DATED. tHE QUIRKY CARPET AND OLD TIME FEEL IS WHAT MAKES IT SO FUN. tHE ROOM HAD A GREAT
